Head and Neck Surgery
Head and neck surgery refers to surgery above the shoulders excluding the spine, brain, eyeballs and teeth. Diseases of the spine are most often managed by neurologists, neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons. Brain disorders are the domain of the neurologist and neurosurgeon. Ophthalmologists take care of eye disorders.

Otolaryngologists (ENT doctors) deal with soft tissue diseases such as tumors of the head and neck, thyroid and parathyroid problems, salivary gland problems and disorders which may cause difficulty swallowing having their origin in the mouth, throat or neck.
